Aloha Dawn, I have always loved running. I was on the track team in high school & did both 50-100 yard sprint and mile run. I just need to keep my runs between 1-6 miles when I run because I don't want a runners body & my muscles need to repair from the weights. Too much long distance will give you a runners figure and it's not the look I want. Not that it's bad to have a runners body, it is just not what I want for myself.
I keep it 6 miles and under & run at a fast pace @7-8 min.miles. Plus I do cross country style running including lots of hills which build a great high, round, firm Okole (bum)and nice strong legs, not skinny legs or flat okole..lol
You should keep trying Dawn. You don't have to do a lot, just do 30-40 min. run for your cardio & throw some hills & sprinting intervals in your runs for great muscle building..=) Keep me posted how you are doing okay!

I am pushing myself to run more...I love walking long distance but running has never been "my thing". I'm starting to like it though ;)
