How Fit Can "You" Be?

Cardio Exercises !

                                

Slow & Steady Cardio

  • Long duration (45min - 1 hour)
  • Low intensity
  • Burn fat and not carbs
  • Preserve joints

High Intensity Cardio

  • Short duration (20min - 30min)
  • High intensity (interval training)
  • Burn tons of calories & rev up your metabolism throughout the day
  • Treat cardio like weights - explosive movements (sprinting, etc)
Interval Training

Interval training is one of my favorites, and perfect if you are short on time, but want to get a workout done in your day. Intervals are a short burst of hard, fast high energy, then taken down to easy steady pace before you again go in to another short burst of high energy training. Depending on the time you have or that you want to spend you should do the intervals for at least 15-20 minuets. In that time you can get in about 10 high energy burst followed by steady recoup time before returning back to high energy burst again. These bursts are at least 60-90 seconds of going balls out to the max of your ability. Then the recoup time as you take your speed and energy down,and keep your body moving at a lower pace for at least 45-60 seconds, never stopping the entire 15-20 minuets of the interval workout.

Intervals can be done in most any of the cardio training exercises and done in a short amount a time with great benefits to you, your body and the best cardio for burning that nasty old fat we want so desperately to burn off, Intervals training can be done alone as a short workout if you don't have a lot of time, or it can be done as your cardio workout after or before your strength training is done. My favorite exercises to do my intervals in are free running, treadmill running, elliptical trainer. Remember to have a watch with second hand so you can keep track of time on each interval phase of your interval workout. Intervals can be done at any length of time depending on your fitness level as well. So if time permits and you want and can go longer than the minimum 15-20 minuets, then by all means push yourself harder and shock your body with a 30-45 minuet interval workout. Now that will burn some serious unwanted fat covering yours sexy muscles. 

Lets uncover that fat on our bodies and let the sexy, sculpted shape underneath out to play! It's a good feeling getting in to shape, so the more you stay consistent and keep doing your workouts on a regular weekly basis you will begin to get excited when that sexy body hidden beneath starts coming out and your able to see yourself, and see how your body is benefiting for all your hard training time.
